Advanced Life Support Course


Gain Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification by completing the CRANAplus ALS course online, the only accredited ALS course in Australia that enables you to undertake your clinical assessment via video conferencing media. Basic Life Support (BLS) is a self-reported (no evidence required) prerequisite for this module.

Course Delivery
Based on the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines and best practice principles, course content is contextualised to the specialised setting experienced by remote, isolated and rural medical professionals.

Following successful completion of both the theory and practical components you will be awarded an Advanced Life Support Certificate and will have the skills required for the management of the patient prior, during and after a cardio respiratory arrest.

Clinical Assessment
By registering for this module, you agree to complete the CRANAplus clinical assessment via video conferencing media. Once you have completed the online topics and have access to the required equipment for the clinical assessment, please contact CRANAplus directly via the Client Enquiry tab to arrange a practical assessment via video conferencing media with a CRANAplus assessor. 

You must demonstrate the application of the ALS algorithm in a simulated scenario using the listed clinical equipment in the presence of the clinical assessor. Please note, this is a demonstrated assessment not one that you can “talk” through, so access to all required equipment is imperative.
